mindUp localBanner allows advertisers of affilinet to individualise existing banner campaigns with local teasers. In addition it is possible to display products in these banners via the affilinet API or use the advertisers API. This allows for displaying products that are local to the surfer as well as to communicate relevant places that might be of interest to the surfer. One usage of localBanner is to optimise existing product banners by making them “local”. An ad like the “proMotor” of mobile.de (eBay Motors in Germany) then will display local car offers. This can result in a click through ratio which is four times as high as before. localBanner can also be used for graphical ads, which can be made more relevant by including local teasers like products or places giving a new design for each surfer.
